Scope

The journal Philosophical Alternatives /1992 - /, ISSN 0861-7899 is founded in 1945 as Philosophical Thought.
The Philosophical Alternatives is peer-reviewed journal edited by the Institute for the Study of Societies and Knowledge  of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Contributions are welcome addressing the fields of: Ontology, Epistemology, Philosophy of Science, History of Philosophy, Philosophical Anthropology, Philosophy of History, Ethics, Aesthetics, Logic, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology. We also publish translated papers, book reviews, news,  interviews
The Philosophical Alternatives journal is published six times a year:  February, April, June, August, October, December.

It is a condition of  publication in the Journal that authors assign copyright to the Philosophical Alternatives. The manuscripts has not been published previously, in part or in whole. If accepted, the author agrees to transfer copyright to Philosophical Alternatives and the manuscript will not be published elsewhere in any form without prior written consent of the Publisher.

Instructions for authors
Full-length articles /no more than 20 standard pages/ accompanied by a 300-words /maximum/ abstract, key words and a short biographical note should be sent to the Editor. Please, sent one print copy and Word disk or attachment. Articles can be written in Bulgarian, English, German and French. Manuscripts should be complete, including all necessary footnotes, bibliographical references, tables. For general rules on style, please refer to the Harvard manual of Style: http://libweb.anglia.ac.uk/referencing/harvard.htm. For transliteration from Cyrillic use the Library of Congress romanization table:   www.loc.gov/catdir/cpso/roman.html   
Every effort will be made to ensure that decisions on the submitted manuscripts take place within 6 weeks of receipt.
All authors are in agreement about the content of the manuscript and its submission to the journal. The manuscripts has not been published previously, in part or in whole.
