Summary This plenary speech is focused on the problems of the translation and the popularization of the modern Bulgarian literature abroad. It underlines that the main stipulations in this almost neglected area are not the financial difficulties but the lack of a national strategy and of official coordinating policy. It also addresses the Bulgarian specialist teaching Bulgarian language at the foreign universities who are the ones expected to train the future translators. |
