This essay is devoted to the works of Italian scholars in the field of Bulgarian Studies from the 80s of the 19th until the 70s of the 20th century. It is focused mainly on the research, editorial, translation and teaching activities of such academic figures as Domenico Ciampoli (1852-1929), Enrico Damiani (1892-1953), Arturo Cronia (1896-1967), Luidgi Silvani (1911-1957), Lavinia Borreno (1913-1986), Riccardo Picchio (1923-), and some others. |
