Bulgarian Studies at „Adam Mickiewicz" University, Poznań
Summary
Poznań is one of the most important Polish centres of Bulgarian and Balcanic studies. The Departament of Slavonic Philology at „Adam Mickiewicz" University with its South-Slavonic field of research is a very important part of Balkanistics studies in Poznan. In 1989 the Bulgarian philology was opened and admitted first 30 students. Cooperation with „Paisij Chilendarski" University in Plovdiv gives a possibility to conduct classes in practical Bulgarian by native speakers. Both students and PhD-students have a chance of one-semester scholarship in Poznan or Plovdiv University. The coopreration results in conferences and in many publications. At the Departament of the Slavonic Philology there are 17 scholars, 5 of them are specialists in Bulgarian language and Bulgarian literature. |
